PAULS, James “Jim”

January 25, 1938 – March 28, 2013

James “Jim” Pauls beloved husband of Solange “Sally” (nee de Rocquigny) of Calgary passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the age of 75 years.

Jim was born in Winnipeg, MB to Victor and Ethlyn Pauls. He joined the Air Force at seventeen and was involved in it for three years. Jim met his wife Sally in Winnipeg in 1961 and moved to Alberta the same year, living in various locations and settling in Fort McMurray in 1967. Jim was a dedicated Kinsmen member and hockey coach during the Fort McMurray days. He opened his own electronics and appliances business in 1967 and operated it until 2007. His passions were camping, golfing and fishing with family and friends. He was a successful winter carnival participant as a “King of the North” winner.

Besides his loving wife Sally, Jim is survived by his daughters Natalie Brierley (Bill) of Calgary and Lyn Pauls (Jason Langdon) of Fort McMurray; his son James Pauls (Lizette) of Edmonton; grandchildren, Joshua, Jimmy, Jet, Jenine, Ashleigh and Emma; great-granddaughter Ruby; brother Jerry Pauls of Victoria, BC; nine sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law and their families.

A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
