Gordon Elliot Patterson beloved husband of Donna of Calgary, passed away with his family at his side on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the age of 70 years.

Gordon was a caring and generous man who lived life to the fullest. His favourite pastime was playing golf with the love of his life Donna. We offer our most sincere condolences to you Donna and your family during this very difficult time. Something I choose to draw on to lighten my spirit is remembering that one of Gord’s great strengths was his ability to make people laugh and the fun we had sharing those moments with him. We will truly miss him.

  8. I join with so many others who knew Gord in offering my deepest sympathy on his passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that in his passing you can celebrate the end of a very long and productive life.

The measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives they touched and the sorrow they leave behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on his loss is any indication, and it most certainly is, you can proudly and confidently say that his indeed was a life well-lived.

May you, Donna, Terrie and family find peace and comfort in knowing that his loss is felt by all who knew and loved him. He will be sadly missed.

  13. The Patrick Family :

With much sadness we read of Gordon’s passing. Each member of our family was fortunate to share community hockey and baseball games with you, Gord, Stuart, and Grant.

Both Gerry and Daryl cherish those Little League Baseball experiences. Gord was a great coach who instilled a competitive desire to win, taught the appropriate skills, modelled and expected good sportsmanship, focused always on the positive, and made the game fun for all. His one great lesson that he taught was “to win without sportsmanship was not to win”.

We hold very special memories of the times we spent together.

At this sad time, we send our heartfelt sympathy to Donna, Terrie, Debbie, Stuart, Grant and families.

    Bill, Lorraine, Daryl and Gerry
