Daddy is also survived by his five brothers and five sisters along with their extended family members. Daddy was predeceased by his two brothers Rajnikant and Rajan.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Rockyview General Hospital for their compassionate care for Daddy. We would like to especially thank the doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and the students in Unit 94 who often treated Daddy as though he was their own kin.

  3. Dear Mota Mummy, Mukesh bhai, Kapu bhabhi, Paresh bhai, Sandhya bhabhi, Kamal bhai, Jayshree bhabhi, and kids:

First – I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mota Daddy. He was a definite “mover and shaker” in the family, and he will be missed.

It was an honor to have met Mota Daddy on several occaisions. From the first time I met him at our engagement in Virginia Beach, I was struck by his presence, class, and caring nature. The family has certainly lost a great leader, father, brother, and trailblazer.

I find some comfort in the fact that I see all of his strong qualities present in many family members in many generations of the family. He has left his thumb print on each of us.

Mota mummy – you are equally as strong and charismatic as Mota Daddy, and we wish you nothing but love and warmth around you during this time.

We wish we could be there with all of you to celebrate Mota Daddy’s life. Please know that we are thinking of you constantly and hope to be with you soon.

    All our love,

    TD, Tejal, Veer and Medha

Our deepest condolences to the Patel family. I first met Chandrabhai in Calgary at Sandhya and Paresh’s wedding. Learning that he came from Machakos (Kenya) I mentioned Puri family and Baldev Kapila and bingo a relationship was formed. Since then whenever I met Chandrabhai we talked about life in Kenya. He had great sense of humour, always smiling. May Almighty rest his soul in eternal pease. Om Shanty Shanty
