February 21, 1964 – March 3, 2013
Terra Lynn Parkinson, cherished wife and loving friend of Scott Parkinson, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by the love and embrace of her family on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the age of 49 years. Terra fought Acute Myeloid Leukemia with quiet determination and strength and revealed what many knew: that she was a remarkable woman.
A loving spouse, daughter, sister, friend, and dog owner, Terra’s path in living was marked by her endless love for life, and her selfless generosity, ready humour, and unwavering compassion for others. She embraced the peacefulness of gardening and got lost in the world of creating and growing wondrous landscapes. She showered her dogs, Emmie and Tessa, with affection and love.
Terra will live, always, in the hearts and memories of her husband Scott; her parents Norma and Pat Mylrea; her sister and brother-in-law, Lana and Ed Moskaluk; her brother and sister-in-law, Devin and Pam Mylrea; nephews and niece, Mason and Nolan Moskaluk, and Blake and Holly Mylrea; and many wonderful relatives and friends who were part of her life.
A Celebration of Terra’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
