Maria Paolucci, beloved wife of Mr. Antonio Paolucci of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, July 11, 2004 at the age of 71 years.
Maria was born on March 3, 1933 in Fossaciesia, Chieti, Italy. Maria married Antonio on April 12, 1954 and they immigrated to Canada on May 9, 1954. Maria was employed with the Palliser Hotel for twenty-four years working in the kitchen until she retired in 1997. Maria loved cooking, gardening and to play bocce and to be with her family and friends.
Besides her loving husband of fifty years, Maria is also survived by her son Phil and his fiancÚe Shirley Dosen of Calgary; her brothers, Ernesto (Anna) Spoletini and Tonino Spoletini, both of Calgary; her brothers-in-law, Donato (Rosina) Paolucci and Nicola (Maria) Paolucci; her sister-in-law Giuseppina Paolucci; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Maria was predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Giovina Spoletini; brothers-in-law Domenic and Angiolino (Cristina) Paolucci; and her sister-in-law Giovanina Spoletini.
