June 2, 2014, Calgary, AB

Lucile Pan, nee Kwan, or affectionately known as Pan Ma-Ma to many, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2014, with her family and her best friends at her side.

Those who met her were blessed to know her. Playing the piano was her life. She received her training at the Shanghai Music Conservatory and then began a teaching career that spanned from Shanghai to Taipei to Calgary.

Lucile is survived by her sons Laurence (Wendy), Anthony (Daniel), her daughter, Katherine (Todd), and her seven grandchildren: Adrienne, Alexander, Michael, Elizabeth, Spencer, Tristan and Caden. Lucile was predeceased by her husband of 51 years (David) and her eldest son (Ronald). The family would like to thank the medical team at the Rockyview General Hospital for their kindness and compassion. You will be greatly missed Pan Ma-Ma. Your beautiful smile will be etched in our minds, and memories of you will be forever in our hearts.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.     Mrs. Pan as she was known to our kids will remember Lucile for her smile and her music. For a while after husband David passed we could hear Lucile playing her beloved piano on into the evening, something that would have brought joy.
