April 16, 1969 – North Sydney, NS
October 10, 2014 – Calgary, AB
With deep sadness we are mourning the loss of our son, father, friend and partner, Paul David O’Quinn, age 45.
Paul was born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia on April 16, 1969 to David and Patrice (Scott) O’Quinn. He grew up in North Sydney, and lived outside of Toronto for a few years, before calling Calgary his home in 1998.
He was an active member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners local 2103 for sixteen years, and has worked with Aluma Systems and most recently as a General Foreman at the Exshaw LaFarge location.
He was an avid musician, with a great sense of humour and wit. Paul was artistic and creative. He enjoyed singing, and playing various instruments, including most notably the guitar. His love of music and playing was something many will remember about Paul.
He is survived by his son Samuel O’Quinn, his partner Katie Winsor, parents Dave and Patrice O’Quinn and sister Renee (O’Quinn) Luedey.
This has been a rough time for all of us with Paul’s sudden and heartbreaking passing. He will be forever loved and always missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Jubilee (Branch #286 5 – 1107 33 Street N.E.), on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
