August 22, 1953 – June 20, 2012
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a dear son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a dear friend to all he met, who fought a courageous battle with cancer. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Peggy, and their children Amber (Jeff), Tyler, and his greatest joy, his grandchildren Cole, Olivia and Ella, also his grandniece Kyara and grandnephew Jayden. Tony is also survived by his parents Clara and Ernie Ollinger of Calgary; brothers and sister, Alan (Leila) Ollinger of Winnipeg, MB, Collette Waeyen and Adrian (Grace) Ollinger of Calgary. Tony also has many nieces and nephews including Kristen, Alana, Devin, Steven, Kristi, Mark and Jenna, also special nieces Robin (Jason) and Jody (Matt) and godson Sean that he loved dearly. He is also survived by numerous relatives in Calgary, Regina and surrounding area in Saskatchewan. Tony was born in Lestock, Saskatchewan and as an infant moved to Calgary. He attended Bishop Grandin High School, and furthered his education at The University of Calgary majoring in History. Later in life, he attended SAIT where he obtained his Journeyman’s ticket as an Electrician. Tony was always lending a helping hand whenever needed. He was a very giving person and always thought of others before himself. Tony will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the numerous medical professions for all their care and attention over the past two years.
