  7. Our fathers depart, but never their love & never the lessons they’ve taught us, never their guidance, never their blessings, never the joys they’ve brought us.
As it seems as though the true meaning of Christmas is lost, for the first time in my life, the Christmas holiday will hold new meaning for my family & self. In the upcoming years, this time will be held as a celebration of the life of our father, George Olivier. Christmas now holds the true meaning to rejoice.
Always in my heart & never forgotten, the memories of you I shall share, the values & lessons I shall pass along, the strength of one man I could only imagine to compare.

  8. To Isabel and family

We are truly sorry for your great loss. Over the years we got to know George, our neighbour, a little as he precisely manicured his lawn, with that every increasing edge, and when he was doing the sidewalks, which seemed to be his favourite winter pastime. He had to be one of the most meticulous snow and ice removers of all times. If you could find a lick of anything white on the sidewalk after a snow storm you probably caught him on a bad day. When he was not well enough to do the sidewalk or grass himself there was always a willing group of family members out there to make it just right for him. It was obvious that there was a great deal of love in your family directed towards George (the husband, the father, the grandfather, the great grandfather, the friend and the man). It seemed like the entire family was always there for every special occasion and holiday. This in itself was indicative of the closeness of your family and how much everyone liked being around him. He seemed to have a very special bond with all of you. We know that he will be missed tremendously.

With great loss comes great sorrow and a deep feeling of emptiness. However, although it may not seem like it right now, over time you will find that this void will be filled with loving memories of all the good times and laughter that you shared with him. Our only regret is that we did not get to know him a little better over the years. Our sincerest condolences to all of you. May you find peace and strength in God’s love and in each other. You are in our prayers.

    Dwayne and Aurel Buta
