Albert Edward (Ted) Oldrey was born in London, England on May 19, 1930 and passed away the morning of Tuesday, December 25, 2012. He married Jean on December 24, 1947. They had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
After leaving the Royal Air Force he came to Calgary in 1958 where he worked several jobs in order for Jean and the children, Rita and Michael to follow him.
Dad joined the RCMP in 1963 and later bought his home in Charleswood where he and mom lived until September of this year. He worked hard to create a good life for his family, retiring in August 1986.
Ted is survived by his loving wife Jean; daughter Rita (Richard) Beale; son Michael (Ann) Oldrey; grandchildren, Christine (Jason) Hunt, Andrea (Darryl) Bunz, Lisa and Shiloh Beale; great-grandchildren, Hayley and Kacey Hunt, Emiley Bunz, as well as a special little one on the way; and step-great-grandchildren, Jayden and Samantha Bunz.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
