O’SULLIVAN – LCol Dr. Michael Augustin

January 22, 1922 – June 1, 2010

Dr. M. A. O’Sullivan, KStJ, CD, GCPR, MCh, MB, BAO, LM, FRCSE, FRCSI, FRCSC, FACS, FICS passed away in Calgary on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the age of 88 years, after a long and courageous battle with several cancers.

Michael was born in Macroon, UK on January 22, 1922. A surgeon, Michael was a Senior Specialist in the Royal Army Medical Corps from 1946-65. He then immigrated to Canada where he practiced medicine until he retired in 1988. Finis Initium.

Michael is survived by his wife Brigitte; children, Marilyn and Katrin (Jay); grandchildren, Jon, Michael (Michelle), Megan, and Hayley; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Archie, and Reef; and siblings, Helen, Kevin, John, and Rosaleen. Michael was predeceased by his son Richard.
