O’BRIEN – Patrick
November 20, 1963 – March 13, 2010
We are heartbroken at the sudden passing of Patrick. We have lost a beloved member of our family and the void left can never be filled.
Born in Sudbury, ON he was the son of John and Delia (deceased) O’Brien. The family relocated to Calgary, AB where Patrick met and married Shelley. Together, they had two sons, Michael and Tyler who will hold their Dad, forever in their hearts. He will be forever loved by his second wife Donna who blessed our entire family by becoming a part of it with her beautiful daughter Jenna in 2005. In his short life Patrick touched many lives with his humour, kindness, strength, and compassion.
Patrick will always be lovingly remembered by his two younger brothers, David (Nicola) and Dan (Dennis) and nephew Carter. Patrick was predeceased by his infant twin brother Michael.
Patrick loved his family, friends and was dedicated to his extended family at Axia. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. The kindness of friends and extended family will help us all during this very difficult time.
A Celebration of Patrick’s Life will be held at Safari Lodge, Calgary Zoo on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 2:30-5:30 PM. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Wildlife Federation (www.cwf-fcf.org).
In living memory of Patrick O’Brien, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH Telephone: (403) 276-2296.

I knew Pat through work only but had always found him to be professional and a real pleasure to deal with. He was always willing to help. He will be missed.

Donna…it’s always very hard for me to accept the death of an acquaintance, a friend or a relative, in particular when they are young. Life is seldom “fair”.
Losing one’s husband can cause a loneliness unlike any other. But, having your children near and the many friends you have made at PTP will help ease the difficulty of the days ahead. With your fortitude and courage we are confident you will adjust to your new situation and that memories of the years you shared with Pat will be a source of comfort.

Condolences to Pat’s family and all who knew him. I had the pleasure of working with him for the last dozen years or so. He was a great guy to work with and will be sorely missed.
It was with great shock & sorrow when learned of Pat’s death. I’m truly sorry that I can’t be with you today (as I’m out of the country) to support you & your entire family. Pat & I have worked together & shared some stories over a beer for the past five years & he’ll be missed as a co-worker & friend. Cherish the memories & hopefully time will dimish your sorrow’s.
