NYKIEL, Stanley Charles

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stanley Charles Nykiel in Monday, December 1, 2014 at the age of 81.

He is survived by his wife Edie and daughter Jodie of Calgary as well as many nieces and nephews across Canada and the U.S. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Walter and sister Sophie Labrosse.

Stan was involved for many years trying to better the services for those with developmental disabilities. He was on the board of COSA working to help seniors needing services. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Stan requested that there be no formal service. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Brandon, Manitoba Forwarding Arrangements to Memories Chapel, Brandon, MB Telephone 204–727-0330. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Julia McFarlane Diabetes Research Centre, Office of Developmental OVC, University of Calgary, 2500 University Drive N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 9Z9
