Phyllis Norman of Calgary, passed away after a very long battle with Alzheimer’s on May 13, 2014 at the age of 91 years.
Phyllis was born on April 27, 1923 to Hester and Philip de Kavanagh-Boulger. She was the last of her branch of the de Kavanagh-Boulgers.
She had a long and amazing life. She survived the Battle of Britain, starred in British stage and screen as a dancer and actress, entertained the troops at the end of WWII with ENSA in Europe, was a ballet teacher, legal secretary, Italian translator at a children’s hospital in Toronto, medical office nurse in Vancouver, school and shows volunteer, senior’s care coordinator in nursing homes, and always an amazing mother and grandmother.
All her family will hold her memories close to their hearts.
Phyllis is survived by her three children Glenn Norman (Michelle Goodeve), Roma Mollins (Tim), Kevin Norman (Debbie Payne); six grandchildren, Jason Mollins (Orlena), Angelica Arar (Dan), Juliana, Rion Swanson (Lisa Neustaeter), William and Danielle Norman; six great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Jason, and Lenaya Mollins and Dominic and Alex Arar and Lilia Swanson.
She was predeceased by her husband Ray Norman; son Garry Norman; and granddaughter Rhea Swanson.
