It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Italo Noce, beloved husband of Filomena. He passed away after a short, but courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, December 27, 2012 surrounded by his family at the age of 78 years.
Italo was born in Sezze, Latina, Italia. He immigrated to Canada in 1958 to join his wife, Filomena, and start their new life together in Calgary. Italo and Filomena shared 54 wonderful years together. Italo was blessed with two daughters, who were the centre of his life, Patrizia and Adriana. He was also blessed with 7 granddaughters, 6 great grandchildren, and was looking forward to the arrival of his seventh great-grandchild. Italo’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was an unselfish man who always put his family first, they were his greatest achievement in life. Italo’s passions were music, The Price Is Right, gardening in the morning, and spending time with his friends at Beddington Mall in the afternoons. He will be genuinely missed by his family and friends.
Italo is survived by his wife, Filomena; two children, Patrizia (Mario) Spaziani, and Adriana (Alessandro) Spaziani; grandchildren, Filomena Spaziani (Adam Eremita), Gabriella (Jordan) Vaccaro, Lucia (Frank) Lavorato, Loriana Spaziani, Natasha Spaziani (Daniel Polini), Antonella Spaziani, and Chiara Spaziani; his great-grandchildren, Alessia and Cristiano Nicoletti, Luca, Marcello and Massimo Vaccaro, and Nicolas Lavorato. He is also survived by his brothers; Alessandro (Cesira) Noce, and Antonio (Pasqualina) Noce, of Italy; Vittorio (Augusta) Noce of Calgary and his sisters, Maria Carlesimo, Giulia Carlesimo, and Rita Carducci all of Calgary; his mother-in-law Antonietta Masocco; sister-in-law, Ilva (Carmine) D’Ambola; his brother-in-laws, Luigi (Maria) Masocco, and Frank Druisso, all of Calgary, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the Home-Care Palliative Team, and the Rosedale Hospice for their compassion, and dedication to making Italo’s final journey as comfortable and dignified as possible.
