Brian Nielsen beloved husband of Lynn of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the age of 72 years.

Brian was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 7, 1941 and came to Calgary when he was seventeen. After graduating from St. Mary’s Boy’s High School he started a career at CFCN in sports, later moving into advertising at various radio stations in the city.

Brian enjoyed many years coaching his sons in hockey and baseball in the community of Parkland.

Brian had a stroke in 1999.

Brian is survived by his wife of forty five years Lynn; his sons, Darren and Cam (Shelley); and his grandson Jackson. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Bev McNear (Wayne), Donna, Leah Toye (Gerry); nieces and nephews, Reanna, Ashley, David and Stephanie; great-niece Peyton; and his mother-in-law Irene.

A family memorial service will be held at McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
