With sadness in our hearts and a lifetime full of loving memories to cherish, the family of Meryle Nerland (nee Hill) announces her passing on Monday, April 29, 2013.
Meryle was born in Calgary and spent most of her life on the family farm near Gleichen, Alberta after she married Orlan Nerland, who predeceased her in 1994. Meryle will be lovingly remembered for her warm heart and her gentle and selfless nature. Growing up in a musically talented family, Meryle enjoyed playing the piano and appreciated music. She was also known to have a bit of a sweet tooth.
Meryle is survived by her children, Anton Nerland and Sonya (Eric) Savage; her grandchildren, Ashley and Megan; and her sister, Alice Hill.
A Private Service for family and friends will be held to honour and remember Meryle at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
