July 16, 1936 – April 26, 2011
After a life in service to her lord, Jesus Christ, a bright shining light has left us to share her radiant spirit with those gone before.
Eileen was known for her desire to be involved, most notably her long association with her Alma Mater Alberta Bible College, as an instructor for the Alberta Association of Disabled Skiing, and as a volunteer for the 1988 Calgary Olympic Winter Games. Family was of utmost importance to Eileen. She shared her love, passion, intellect and zest for life to all members of her family. A wonderful wife, devoted mother, compassionate sister and doting grandmother sums up some of Eileen’s amazing attributes. Her warm and open heart drew people to her and she collected friends effortlessly.
Remaining to reflect a life well lived is her husband Jock, daughter Belinda (Brian), sons Brad (Roma) and Barry (Kathryn); treasured granddaughters Chloe, Olivia and Ruby; sister Marilyn (Harry), and brothers Calvin (Iona) and Gerald (Jan).
All are invited to share a celebration of her life on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bow Valley Christian Church (5300 – 53rd Avenue N.W.) You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a cancer charity of choice is appreciated.
