It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our dear mother, wife, sister and friend, Nirmal Narang.
Nirmal was born in Akalgarh, India in 1937. As a result of the Partition in 1947, her family moved to Chandigarh, India where she went on to become a public health nurse. She married in 1963 and moved to England before settling in Calgary in 1969. She was a founding member of the Hindu Society of Calgary and played a significant role in the establishment of the Hindu temple. She was dedicated to helping others in her community by her compassionate and giving nature. She had a smile that would light up a room and touched many with her generosity and mentorship.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 52 years Chaman Lal, son Vineet (Mina), daughter Ritu (Mark), grandchildren Monika, Natasha, Nathan and Meghana, and by family and friends in England, India, Calgary, Toronto and Phoenix. She is survived by her brother Ajay Grover and sisters Raj Arora, Monica Kaila and Nisha Nanda and is pre-deceased by her parents Kundan Lal and Kailash Vanti Grover, her sister Kamlesh Juneja and her brother Avinash Grover.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, January 3, 2014 4:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
