NAKAZATO, Susumu

September 14, 2013 – Calgary, Alberta

Susumu Nakazato passed away quickly and peacefully at the age of 71 years surrounded by his loved ones.

Susumu was born in Matsuzaka, Japan and started his life in Canada in 1970. Susumu had many good friends and loved spending time travelling with his family. His many adventures with his family and friends included Japan, Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. He especially found delight in spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his intelligence, determination and his love of laughter.

Susumu will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years Shoko, his three children Christine (Rick), Hiroshi, Yoko, and by his precious grandchildren Mia, Anna, Ethan and Henry.

A Celebration of Susumu’s Life will be held at Calgary Nikkei Cultural and Seniors Centre (2236-29th Street SW Calgary T3E 2K2) on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 2-4 pm. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

I always enjoyed him at our family celebrations and will miss him very much. I’m so sorry for your loss Obaachan and can’t imagine what you are going through at this time. You two were so good together! Christine, Hiroshi and Yoko, I’m so sorry that you have lost your wonderful father. He was very precious and was so great with his grandchildren.
