Donald Albert Morton passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the age of 93.
Don was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta where he met and married Isabella Muir in 1947. Don served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He worked for Imperial Oil for 30 years at the Calgary Refinery, the Strathcona Refinery in Edmonton, and at the Lago Refinery in Aruba. Don was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 30 years.
Don loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. During his lifetime he also loved camping and was an avid fisherman. Don will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed.
Don is survived by two daughters, Norma Morton-Paterson and Patricia Locke, five grandchildren Matthew Rasmusson, Sara Nowosad, Anders Rasmusson, Zach Locke, and Alison Webster, and nine great grandchildren.
Don was predeceased by his wife Isabella in 1995 and his daughter Dani in 2002.
At Don’s request, there will not be funeral service.
