It is with great sadness that the family of Dave Moosewaypayo announce his sudden passing on January 28, 2015 at Tsuu T’ina Nation.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Karen Meguinis, his sons, Richard (Taylor) Meguinis, Braden (Danita) Meguinis and his only daughter Hayley Meguinis; sisters Stella (Mike) Peeace, Roberta (Johnny) Peeace, Ruby (Peter) Peeace, Eva Moosewaypayo, Darlene Moosewaypayo, Diane Meguinis, Pauline (Leonard) Jacobs, Donna Meguinis; brothers Stanley Moosewaypayo, Herbert Jackson, Gerald (Violet) Meguinis, Brian Meguinis, Jim Meguinis, Bobby Dodginghorse; adopted Mother Jeanette Starlight.
Dave was predeceased by his grandparents Jim Moosewaypayo and Bluebird, parents Jabeez Scott and Evelyn Moosewaypayo, brothers Bob Moosewaypayo, Clifford Moosewaypayo, nephew Cory Moosewaypayo, father in-law Harold Crowchild, mother in-law Helen Meguinis, sister in-law Ann Meguinis and nephews Lance Dodginghorse and Theoren Meguinis.
Wake services will take place at their home, 123 Big Knife Road, Tsuu T’ina Nation, Alberta on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. and Monday, February 2, 2015.
Traditional Funeral Services will take place at Redwood House (Redwood Meadows) on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Graveyard service to follow at Tsuu T’ina Cemetery. The family would like to invite you to all to join them for a traditional feast at the residence of Karen Meguinis, after the Graveside service.
