Albert Earl Moore passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the age of 91 years.
Earl joined the Westminster Regiment on Sept. 6, 1939, wishing to serve his country in World War II. After his discharge he worked for the Department of National Defence in various positions until his retirement in 1979. He married Joan Horne in 1942 and lovingly shared his life with her until her death in 1999. As a spouse and a father, Earl set the bar high. He has remained in close touch with all his family members, remaining interested in their lives until his last day. Earl will be remembered as a faith filled man with a quiet sense of humour who always looked on the bright side of life. His love of his family, camping, his courage in the face of difficulties and reputation as a gentleman, will long be remembered by all who knew him.
Earl is survived by his children, Jim (Jean) Moore, Pat (Laszlo) Jamniczky, Tim Moore, Joe (Linda) Moore; brother Herb (Betty) Moore of Oliver, BC; and by sisters, Rose Fiske of Kelowna, BC and Vivian Summers of Vancouver, BC.
