My deepest sympathy to the Pearce and Mohamed families. Your Mom was a very dear friend to me. On all of her trips here in Florida, we had splendid times together. We usually think of death as a sad occasion, however, sometimes, when we consider that after life is eternal and we will all meet there. We realize that this passage is only a start of greater things. May God give you patience at this trying time.

  11. Sharon Indrevold :

    Dear Debbie and Mohamed Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing but as I always say you never want to see your loved ones suffer like I’m sure your Mother was suffering. No matter how much we will miss them it will be those wonderful memories that we have when they were well that will sustain you in the days ahead. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of my Mother (3 years ago now) and miss her greatly but then I remember something that she did or said sometime, get a laugh about it and then go on. One day we will be reunited with those we love so deeply but until then we will hold them close in our hearts. Your mother (and Father) were very special to our family over the years and we often think about those ‘good old days’ when doctors were family doctors who cared. Your family cared and we all knew it. What a lasting legacy! Thinking of you fondly in the days ahead and may you find strength in your memories and faith. With deepest sympathy, Sharon Indrevold, Michael Indrevold and Mary Nott (Indrevold) and families

  13. Gordon & Melissa Wong :

Our condolences to the Mohamed Family. We remember Joyce’s kindness to us and her devotion to your Dad. She loved her family and was very proud of them. Joyce had a smile that glowed. She made curry that was a treat for a homesick Trini living in SSM. We remember Ed and Joyce slowly dancing in their living room to “At Last” by Etta James.

The comforting message of Psalm 23 ends with “surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

  15. Dear Debbie and Eric,
I have been praying for all of you since I heard about your mom’s illness. Your mom and dad are often on my mind as I drive along Queen, as are you. When I think of your mom, I hear that little giggle and see that cute little face with the smile, before the inevitable “Oh, Debbie”. Take care, and celebrate the many happy moments you shared – and I know that there were many. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers at this time, as always. Big hugs to each other, and your siblings and children, from me.
    Love,
    Wendy & Steve

  16. Gerda Walz; Barbara Syme; Christina Syme :

    Dear Mohamed Family,
Mom, Christina and I were very saddened to hear of Joyce’s passing. She was such a gracious and kind lady. Dr. Mohamed was our family doctor from birth until he retired, and Mrs. Mohamed was the friendly, caring lady out front. After he retired, the doc and Mrs. Mohamed became friends of the family, visiting Mom at the cottage on St. Joseph’s Island and hosting us for tea at the house. She will be dearly remembered by us all and we know that she will be smiling down on us with her “DOC”.
With sincere condolences and fond memories,
Gerda Walz, Barbara Syme and Christina Syme
