It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom, Elizabeth Lee Mogridge, on Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Calgary.

Beth was born on October 2, 1923 in Calgary and was raised in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. Beth married her high school sweetheart William Mogridge on Sept. 16, 1943 and they were together for over 67 years until Bill passed away in December 2010. Beth worked at a major Law firm for many years where she was respected and loved by all with whom she came into contact. Throughout Beth’s life her caring and truly compassionate personality endeared her to many. Beth leaves behind five grandchildren, nine great – grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.

Condolence Messages

  1. Dear Mogridge Family:
It is with sadness that I read about Beth in today’s paper. I always looked forward to seeing her when I visited friends at Wentworth. I loved Beth and Bill very much and when my mother Thelma lived down the hall from them we used to spend a fair bit of time just visiting. I will miss them both. Having just been through this, because Thelma died in December, my heart goes out to all of you. My very best regards.

  6. Linda and Garry Odbert :

I was saddened to learn of Bethy’s passing. I worked with Bethy at a law firm from 1972 to 1978. She was a “lovely” lady in the true sense of the word. She was friend and mother to me, as she was to all of us who worked with her. She had a good sense of humour. It was always a delight to be in her company. I have been in Mexico for 5 months and, unfortunately, will not be returning to Calgary until April. I am therefore unable to pay my respects to a truly remarkable lady. She will be sadly missed. Bethy was proud to tell me news about Bob, Margie, Frank, Laurie and their families over the years. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you all.

    Linda and Garry
