MOFFATT, Sue Ellen

December 1, 1942 – October 11, 2014

Sue Ellen Moffatt was an amazing teacher, traveller, thinker and artist. She is lovingly missed as mother to Glenn Moffatt (Wanda), Michelle Moffatt, Sheila Rae (Dave), Peggy Sue Moffatt and Sharmaine Prince (Tom). She is also survived by her sisters Carol Fields of Simi Valley, California, Joyce Jensen of Aldergrove, B.C., Elinor Martin of Vancouver, B.C., and Sue Arnold of St. Catherines, Ontario, and grandchildren Danielle, Kimberly, Amy, Derek, Kristin, Grace, Mimi, Jace and Elyse. Sue was born in Moncton, New Brunswick and spent her formative years in London, Ontario before moving to Calgary in 1957. She earned her teaching degrees from the University of Western Ontario and the University of Calgary and started her career with the Calgary Board of Education in 1960. Sue took great pride in her work with gifted children and influenced hundreds of students during her 40 year teaching career. Her greatest loves were travelling, reading, music, creating beautiful works of art with her hands and her family. The family would like to thank the many dear friends and neighbours, doctors and health care providers that offered their love and care. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Rosedale Hospice.
