MOFFAT – David Leon

June 3, 1963 – July 16, 2011

David Moffat, beloved husband of Theresa Moffat and father to Chelsea of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the age of 48 years.

After a long and courageous battle with an unspeakable illness, David peacefully passed this Saturday surrounded by his daughter, wife and loved ones. He was a brave, strong and loving father and husband whose strength and dignity throughout his life will leave a lasting imprint on those whom he leaves behind. We will miss him dearly. Love you Daddy!

David is survived by his loving wife Theresa, daughter Chelsea, father Ernie Moffat (Kay), father and mother-in-law Rudy and Rozella Torreson, siblings Bill Moffat (Diane), Rene Ewing, Greg Moffat (Cheryl), Lois Marr (Randy), Starr Niederweiser (Harold), Bernadette Manuel (Gerald), Johnene Anderson (Gary), Tony Torreson, very special nephew and niece Alex and Stephanie Torreson. He was predeceased his mother Lucille Moffat in 1996, and sister-in-law Cora Torreson in 1999.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Beth, Dr. Burak and Dr. Aspinall (SALTRA) and the medical caregivers, Foothills Medical Centre ICU, area B.
