Susan and Warren, you had a Mom with tremendous spirit. I will always remember her and your Dad, Ralph as a great couple yet both were strong individuals on their own as well. How wonderful it is that she was able to enjoy a long life. Your Mom will remain with you and with many who knew her in our memories. I am sure your devotion helped her in ways you may not even be aware of. Your family have reason to celebrate Margaret!

  6. Margaret Cashmore :

To all the family of Marg Mitcheltree. I worked as a PHN with Marg at the North Hill Clinic in Calgary for 4 years, from 1968 – 1972. We were a tight knit group of women and I have fond memories of my time there. I was one of the ‘younger nurses’ and learned so much from Marg. My sympathy to each of you.

  9. Ron & Jean Fowler :

    Dear Susan and Bruce,

We were so sorry to read of your dear Mom’s passing Susan. While we know she lived a long and meaningful life, it is never easy to say goodbye, and our hearts go out to you.

I remember your Mom and Dad with fondness. They were always enthusiastic supporters of the many groups they were involved in. Their support to me as your CGIT leader was priceless. Bless you both for giving your Mom a happy and long life. We know full well that it is not always easy to care for a parent, and do it so that they can live with dignity, and the knowledge that they are loved beyond measure.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family as you celebrate a life well lived tomorrow.

    Our love and His blessings,

    Ron and Jean

  15. Our condolences to the Mitcheltree family. I knew your Mother in a couple of roles, as my school nurse in elementary and as a friend of my parents. I always thought she knew me a little better than I wanted. A delightful lady.

So sorry to learn of your mother’s passing yesterday. We trust she is in a better place now, resting in peace.
We will cherish, in particular, the memory of her generosity and kindness the day we stopped by your parent’s apartment in downtown Calgary, entertaining Wendy while I spent a couple of hours re-hashing with your dad the days I worked for him at the Capitol theatre.
The death of a parent, at any age, is a sad time.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through these difficult days.

    Susan and Family

I was so sorry to hear of your mother’s death. Pat and my sisters, Yvette and Madeleine, were fellow renal patients. Your Mom was a grand lady and your father was a true gentleman. I remember them both so fondly.

Your sister, Pat, was a good friend and I think of her often. I can see the family reunion for your parents and Pat in heaven as I write this note.

You and your family are in our hearts and prayers. I would so love to speak with you when life has settled down for you.

    Jeanne Lefebvre

  19. This may be an unusual condolence, but, I recall your mother, Mrs. Mitteltree, as the Public Health Nurse who visited King George School, back in the ’60’s! She gave me my polio vaccine (the pink dot on the sugar cube), smallpox vaccine, and the TB shot (given with a ‘gun’ that had six little needles) when in Junior High. Your mother lived a long life! She was kind and motherly as a nurse, as I recall.
