  10. Wayne and Pat Milley & Families :

Dear Shelli, Jaye, Spencer & Brittany & Uncle Bernie and Aunt Edith,
We are so sad to hear of Tom’s passing.
Wayne and I had an opportunity to spend some time with him when we were in Calgary a few years back and we really enjoyed seeing him. Wayne thought the world of him and was very upset to hear the news. I know that there isn’t much that anyone can say that will ease your pain and grief right now but we just wanted you to know that just from that short visit we had with him we could tell that he had grown into a well accomplished man, but most of all we could see that he was also a very caring and compasionate man who loved his wife and children very much as well as his Mom and Dad.
So please know that you are all in our prayers right now and we send you all our love.
With our deepest sympathy, prayers and love,
    Wayne& Pat

  15. Dear Shelli, Jaye, Spencer and Brittany,

May I offer my sincerest condolences on the loss of your husband, and father.

I’m honored to have been Tom’s friend. It’s hard to know just how much the experiences in your youth can shape who you turn out to be in this life. Apart from the many adventures and memories of our youth, I had the chance to become reacquainted with Tom some 8 or 10 years later, after returning from living abroad and a bad marriage breakup in 1986. Tom found me a job and was very generous and supportive. His door was always wide open to me when I needed a friend and I’ll never forget that. I’m sorry to say we lost touch after he moved to Calgary, and I to California. I’m so glad to hear that he had a beautiful loving family. He will be missed.

  16. Shelli, Jaye, Spencer and Brittney: I was shocked and saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. It’s a shame that we have lost touch in the last few years but everytime I drive by your home or the few occasions when I see Jaye in the neighborhood, it always reminds me of the “good old soccer days”.

  20. It took 19 months to write, but then Tom would understand my tardiness. He was a unique individual and I miss the late, late entertaining nights on Haileybury and later Cherokee.

Tonight many of the guys are getting together for our annual spring reunion and in Tom’s memory we will hoist a glass of Allen’s Apple Juice and a Tim Horton’s peanut butter cookie.

Hopefully Tom will be somewhere pleasant with his treasured Siamese Suki watching us.

Our most sincere condolences to his family.
