Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, December 1, 1993. Beatrice discovered her dream job working at Henry Birks and Sons where she worked for fifteen years until retirement in 1984. Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Leslie and son-in-law William (Bill) Garries. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Barbara (Jordie) and Scott (Colleen). Barbara and Jordie Howes have two adorable children, Erika and William (Will). She is also survived by her brother Archie (Patricia) Nichol and brother Jerry Nichol and several nieces and nephews. Bea will be sorely missed and always treasured by her family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Prince of Peace Manor.

Condolence Messages

Dear Leslie; I am so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing this week. My mother died 10years ago and I still miss her so much. Our mothers are special to us and no matter what age we are when they leave us, the sadness is very profound. She will live on in you, through your relationships with your children and grandchildren. I am unable to make the memorial on Saturday, but my thoughts will be with you throughout the day. I said to Beth that I am sure our mothers are having a cup of tea and a great visit at this very moment!
    My love to all,
Diane (my sister Janet wanted to extend her sympathies to you as well)

Leslie, I was sad to read in the paper the loss of your mom. Not sure if you remember me but my mom (Robbie – Muriel Robinson) worked with your mom at Birks for many years. Even though it has been many years I still remember and have fond memories of your mom. My mom has been gone 15 years this Aug. and I know how sad it is and how much we miss them. Forever in your heart and always we keep close our wonderful memories. Love to you all. Carol
