It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Milasin of Calgary on Friday, May 19, 2006 at the age of 86 years.
Kay was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland on April 15, 1920. As a young adult she trained in England as a nurse. In Ballymena, she practiced her profession for a short time before coming to Calgary in the mid 1950’s. She was a wonderful nurse, who had the opportunity to care for patients in Edem, Moose Jaw, Binfait, Regina and Saskatoon. In 1960 she married Tibor Milasin. They moved to Lethbridge, AB in 1964 where she worked as a nurse in the Lethbridge Auxiliary Hospital. In 1973, Tibor and Kay moved to DeWinton, AB and Kay continued to work as a nurse at the Calgary General Hospital until her retirement.
Kay is survived by her dear sister Philomena Magill of Northern Ireland; her nephew, Danny Cronin (Claire) of Dallas, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the U.S.A., Northern Ireland and England.
