MIKOCH, Tracey Michelle

February 9, 1960 – Grande Prairie, Alberta
January 4, 2018 – Irricana, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tracey Michelle Mikoch on January 4, 2018 at her home in Irricana, Alberta at the young age of 57 years.

Tracey was born in Grand Prairie on February 9, 1960 to Mickey and Mona Mikoch and grew up across Alberta, living in an astounding 23 different towns and cities with her parents and brother, Terry. Tracey was a true Alberta girl; loving the rolling hills, sprawling farmland, horses and country music but always dreamed of returning to Mexico to enjoy the sand and sun which she had come to love. She had a flair for life, a love for animals, and touched everyone she met with her kindness and generosity of spirit.

The most important thing to her was her family and friends. Her love for her mother, Mona and her father, Mickey who predeceased her, was strong. Her love for her children Jared, Spenser, and Stefanie was a force and her memory will live on with them.

A Celebration of Tracey’s Life will be held at AIRDRIE TOWN AND COUNTRY CENTRE (Airdrie, 275 Jensen Drive NE, Airdrie, Alberta) on January 25, 2018  from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. Condolences may be forwarded through In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tracey’s name to the Wild Rose Humane Society, Box 157 Didsbury, Alberta T0M 0W0.

In living memory of Tracey Mikoch, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Airdrie, 300 TOWERLANE DRIVE, AIRDRIE, AB. Telephone: 403-948-1100.

  7. Andy Suurallik :

My memories of Tracey go back to a special time in the early 80’s where a gang of 20-somethings gathered at a house on 3rd Avenue in Sunnyside Calgary for many gatherings or just hanging out. It was a period of time I will always remember. Where a group of friends came together to experience the meaning of life, love and happiness. Over the years, we all moved on with our lives; I haven’t seen Tracey in over 30 years, but it was a time I will always cherish. Sincere condolences to Tracey’s family.

  8. My deepest condolence’s to the Mikosh family on the sudden passing of such an amazing person. Tracey and I go back along way from before our children to our families getting together in White Rock, Calgary and Irricana, also the memories of getting all of our kids together in ski lessons at COP when they were about 5yrs of age and laugh till tears on how cute and amazing these littles ones could tackle such a bid mountain with ease. Through out the years we have always kepted in touch, even to have talked on the 25th of this month to get together in the New Year. There is one thing I know for sure, with out a question Jarid, Spenser and Stefanie, is the true deep love she had for you and how proud she was of all you have accomplised, a love that deep will always be with you, watching over you with her beautiful smile and contagous laugh. I will miss you forever, your extrodinary heart you had for people, zest for life and remembering what a true friend you always were. God Bless you Tracey!!
