MEEHAN – Earl Oswald

February 24, 1934 – October 7, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earl Oswald Meehan, beloved husband of Beverley of Calgary, on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the age of 76 years.

Earl enjoyed a long career with CP Rail. He was born and lived in Montreal, retired and moved to Calgary.

Besides his loving wife Beverley, Earl will be remembered by his daughters, Nancy (Joe) and Susan (Randy) and his son Howard (Louise). He is also survived by sisters, Doris, Millie (Ron), Viney (Syd) and brother George (Joan); as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through The family would like to thank the staff at Garrison Green, Foothills Medical Centre and all the Doctors involved with Earl’s care. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.

    Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad and husband. I know first hand that my Mom would have loved to have been there but distance and health issues would not permit them to go. Linda and I offered to fly out with her but she didn’t want to leave my Dad – which we totally appreciate. You know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. If you do in fact have a funeral/burial in Quebec we will most definitely see to it that we find a way to get Uncle George and Auntie Joan and our parents there. He was their little brother, our Uncle and we have a lot of good memories to hold in our hearts
