Words seem  inadequate to express the sadness we feel about Duncan’s passing. He was an amazing, athletic, talented,
fun loving person. I was lucky to have him as a student and the opportunity to share the love of music.

  9. Collin Paulson :

This is the saddest moment of my life. I am in a state of shock to think this amazing boy will not run into my classroom in the morning, panting and puffing and asking where he can leave his longboard for the day. I remember Duncan doing this many mornings in my grade 7 classroom. He brought a smile to my face almost everyday…even when he was misbehaving. There were times when I wanted to reprimand him for shouting out in class but usually I just laughed because he was so funny and his mischievous smile was so endearing. I will never forget him and what he added to my classroom. His warm and caring spirit permeated my room and touched all those who knew him.

When I first found out he passed away I was speechless… I was angry, sad, depressed, surprised, devastated all at the same time. Usually when I see someone pass away on the news I wouldn’t even think it was one of my class mates. It makes you think differently and how our lives can change in a second.
