Mildred McQuiggin of Calgary passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the age of 90 years.
Mildred was born in Melita, Manitoba and was raised in Hazenmore, Saskatchewan. She graduated in 1946 from Moose Jaw Providence Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for over twenty-five years, mainly at the Calgary General Hospital. She retired in 1970 to raise her family. Mildred also babysat many children in her senior years which she thoroughly enjoyed. She will be remembered as a beautiful and loving mother and friend to all who knew her.
Mildred is survived by her children, Kellie (Randy) and Joe (Marcie); her four grandchildren, Paige and Shea, Mitchell and Mason; her brother Harry (Joyce) Farrow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph McQuiggin in 2004.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
