MCNABB, Alison

November 16, 1915 – April 21, 2012

Alison McNabb of Calgary passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 with family at her side after 96 joyful years.

Her life ended with the gentle grace with which she had lived. Alison was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Campbell McNabb in 1985. She was the last of her generation and leaves four generations of her large extended family, and a circle of treasured friends. Alison´s passing will be mourned by her daughter Janice and husband Tom Jenkyns, and her son Drew.

Gramma-gramma will be deeply missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Peter Burke, wife Zana Ellis and children Laurence and Arden; Jennifer Parkhill, husband Mike, and children Liam and Theo; and her extended family, Elly Jenkyns, husband Rob Oliveira, and children Domingo and Chico, and Glenys Jenkyns.

A Memorial Reception to Celebrate Alison’s Life will be held in the Great Room at 9449 – 19 Street S.W., Calgary on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Special thanks to Dr. Tom Szabo of Copeman Medical Centre and the compassionate and skillful medical team in unit 46 of Foothills Hospital.
