MCLEOD, Ronald Alexander

May 8, 1920 – October 5, 2012

Ron McLeod, beloved husband of Vicky McLeod (nee Jones), passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the age of 92 years.

Ron was born in Carmangay, AB on May 8, 1920 and grew up in the Carmangay and Cremona areas. He entered the Armed Forces, joining the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, serving overseas in England from 1942-1945. Ron met Violet (Vicky) Jones and they were married on January 13, 1945 in London, England. After the war the two of them returned to Calgary, where they have resided ever since. Ron spent his working years at Shell Oil and CBE. After retirement he and Vicky spent many years wintering in Arizona.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Violet, daughters Maxine (Jay) and Marg (Fred), grandchildren Matthew (Adala), Steven (Denise), Bradley (Deanna) and Julie, along with three great-grandchildren Olivia, Sophie, and Alexander. Ron was predeceased by his brother Ross and infant son.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
