April 26, 1946 – November 12, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret “Peggy” Helen McLeod announces her passing in Calgary on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the age of 65 years.

Peggy grew up in Regina, SK and had a long career in the print industry – first in Regina, then Edmonton and Calgary. She was talented with handcrafts such as knitting, had an eye for fashion style, and enjoyed travelling.

Peggy leaves her devoted and loving family to cherish her memory: daughter Jane Osborne and husband Scott; grandchildren, Jordan and Abby of Calgary; brothers Gordon (Kathleen) McLeod of Edmonton and Ian (Donna) McLeod of Calgary; and nieces and nephews, John (Mandy), Graham (Tim), Kristan (Shawn), Andrew (Melanie), Brendan, Michael (Bri) and Jamie (Jenna). Peggy will be greatly missed by her friends and family including her cousin Heather, and all others who were welcomed by “Mrs. C”. Peggy was predeceased by her parents Cliff and May McLeod, and her infant brother Reid.

Jane,  Scott, Jordan and Abby were Peggy’s greatest joy and she demonstrated that each day. Everyone will miss her sense of humour, her caring interest and encouragement.

  5. Marguerite (Varey) Boisjolie :

I missed this in the paper, don’t know how. Peggy and go back to high school, in fact the first auto accident I was in was in Peg’s car. Saw her a few times here, in Calgary, we went through some year books, for a laugh. She was a funny, dynamic person, quite a wonder, you know. I will miss those silly phone calls. I am so very sorry for your loss and the loss of all of her friends. She loved you so very much. I just told my husband how she would come to our house in Regina and beg my mom for cookies. Good memories, I know we all have them.

  7. LoIs and Hugh MacKenzie :

Saw Peggy’s passing in the online Leader Post. We are in California at the moment. I had heard from Bev a while ago that she was ill but of course it is always a shock to see it in print! We have lots of memories of your Mom as she used to babysit for us at times when the family lived down the street in Hillsdale. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you Jane and family and Gordon and Ian and families. We are fortunate to still be hanging in there. Lois and Hugh Mackenzie
