  1. Sheila McLean McEntire :

I was so grateful to have the opportunity to reconnect with my uncle this last summer. I have many fond memories, mostly centered around music, of Uncle Mitch. He was the coolest! My heart and sympathy to Jean, and especially Heather; as well as Auntie Donna, Uncle Johnny and my father. May your love and memories provide comfort and peace at this time.
    Love,
    Sheila

  2. I am absolutely stunned! Mitch just left me a voicemail last week about involving me in a couple of gigs next month. We played together in a band called ROXON two years ago. He was a fine drummer, had an excellent sense of humour and I always knew that he was a very good friend of mine. I’ve missed him since the band split up. He was a fine, genuine man of music. Rest in peace my dear friend…

  3. Darcy McLean Aguilar :

From early childhood to adulthood I have so many fond memories. Uncle Mitch was a very talented individual, a “cool” uncle, friend and mentor. We shared many a great belly laugh and had very deep and philosophical conversations. Through time and distance we were parted, recently reunited, and once again are parted. May your spirit find peace and happiness. May my family find the same. Love always…Darcy

  6. What an absolute shock! I have played in several bands with Mitch and any time he wanted to download, he always chose me to pick on – ’cause he knew I could both take it and give it right back. How we laughed at each other – enjoyed the banter…and fond memories of the many freezing cold nights we travelled to and from a gig in his mobile sharpening “War Wagon” as I called it. (it had no heater). Our long and short conversations…Mitch was a great drummer..and an even better friend…I only wish I could have been more of the friend Mitch needed in recent months…we spoke the same language…Jean my heart and condolences go out to you, and to his immediate family, nieces and nephews…I pray Mitch is now at peace. We will always miss you Mitch…God Bless You Big Guy!

  10. Roger Schoen bass player the "New Trend"-1969 :

I am shocked to say the least, my long lost friend, who I shared many long nights playing in all the pubs of Winnipeg, is gone. We hunted together, and hung out as best friends in our early years, he was best man at my first marriage, (1969). Great drummer and a great friend. My sympathy goes out to his wife and family.
