Condolence Messages

  1. My deepest sympathy to the McLauchin family. I remember Pauline to be a fun and cheerful woman, and thought she was a “cool mom” when I would go to her house to hang out with her daughter Cathy. I thought of her often when I was driving near Acadia.

My very deepest condolences to the extended McLauchlin family, and to Barry Guenette and his wife and family. I’m so sorry for your loss.

My wife, Marina, and I vividly recall arriving at the Calgary airport in 2005 with our young children in tow to start our new Atlas Copco life in the Wild West, and seeing the friendly smiling face of Pauline as she greeted us at the arrivals area. We didn’t expect anyone to be waiting for us and it was so nice to receive such a warm welcome in our new city and to be taken by the hand. I soon learned that Pauline was just naturally thoughtful of others and I really enjoyed working with her. She was well organized and efficient, was the unofficial “inside sales” person for the team, many times working late when a bid deadline was looming. She had a good sense of humour and was quick to smile and to laugh out loud. But she could not suffer fools, and it seemed that we always had some of those customers! I last saw Pauline during a training event in mid 2014, showing me the same smile that I saw at the Calgary airport back in 2005 and which I’ll always remember.

    With kind regards,

  5. Perry Allen - President - Calgary Telephone & Wiring Ltd. :

To the family of Pauline: I am deeply saddened to hear of Pauline’s death. I had the pleasure of working with Pauline while looking after Atlas Copco’s telphones & data cabling since 2000. She was a vibrant lady & always a pleasant person to work with. I made it a habit to pop by & say hello whenever I was in the building servicing other customers. I was troubled when – for the second time – I stopped by & found the office door lock. I had hoped that she finally decided to start that retirement she kept threatening, but I had a bad feeling about her absence. I finally Googled her name & found out about her passing. I had no idea she was ill. She was a wonderful person who spoke what was on her mind, & I respected her for that. My thoughts & prayers are with you – though I don’t even know you. I’m sure that she will be missed. May God give your hearts comfort in the coming months.

    Sincerely,

    Perry Allen
