July 3, 1930 – April 22, 2013
Beverley McLaren of Calgary, beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob), passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the age of 82 years.
Beverley had a long career at the Bank of Montreal. After her retirement, she did allow that her ambition was to be a truck driver “when she grew up”. An avid golfer, voracious reader, and master of crossword puzzles, she also loved to garden and travel. Her declining health prevented her from enjoying many of her passions in later years, but she still had a keen sense of humour, and kept a positive outlook on life.
Beverley is survived by her sister Grace Crowell (the late Douglas); nieces, Andrea Giffin, Jo-Ann Dawson, and Heather Crowell; grand-nieces and nephew, Megan Argue (Trevor), Tricia and Sarah Giffin and Elizabeth and Christopher Dawson, and a great-grandnephew Theodore Argue. She was predeceased by her niece Diana Campbell.
Many thanks to Borris Boyenko and Janet and John MacLeod for their support and friendship, during Beverley’s last few months.
At Beverley’s request, there will be no funeral service. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Calgary Poppy Fund and Veterans Food Bank, Suite 1-4539 6 St NE Calgary, AB T2E 3Z6, telephone: (403) 265-6304.
In living memory of Beverley McLaren, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. Telephone: (403) 256-9575.

Pam and Family
Sincere condolences to Bev’s family from me and my wife Joan. I have many fond memories of working with Bev and her late husband. Our prayers are with you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time.
We wish to express our sincere condolences to Bev’s family. We have known Bev and the late Bob for many years as Ed worked with Bev in the Bank of Montreal in the 1970’s. It is hard to have old friends pass away but we know they are in a better place!
My sincere sympathy to everyone. I just learned of Bev’s passing today. Bev is my 2nd cousin on my Father’s side of the Family (Stewart). In later years Bev & my dad contacted and spent countless hours on the phone catching up. After dad passed she stayed connected with my mom until her passing last year. She was a wonderful lady and I’m so sad I never got to meet her and Bob face-to-face .
Please accept my condolences. I’d like to think she is in heaven, out of pain, & with her beloved Bob reminiscing with the Stewart family.
