McKinnon, Gladys Marie (nee Roth)

Gladys McKinnon, beloved wife of Don McKinnon of Calgary, AB, passed away peaceful on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the age of 78 years.

Gladys was very active in the community with her volunteer work. She participated in the Friendship Club at St. David’s United Church, the Gliders Dance Group and the Ukulele Group at Confederation Park Seniors Centre. Gladys was also a strong advocate for many seniors in need.

Gladys is survived by her husband Don of fifty-five years of marriage; her children, Perry, Dan (Janet), and Karla (Rod) Eckes; grandchildren, Robyn, Terrence, Breanna, and Georgia; and brothers, John (Ruby), Thomas, Oscar (Berneice), Will (Rayma), and Arnold (Linda).

A Celebration of Gladys life will be held at St. David’s United Church (3303 Capitol Hill Crescent N.W.) on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
