  2. I am very sad for the Mcgowans, they helped Darc as we all did in his health problems. The biggest sadness is he was on the mend and turning the corner when he passed. Sometimes I get mad and feel it isnt fair, I thought this when Dave died in January, a buddy of both mine and Darcy. I really feel it now, he was cooking again and talked of buying a boat with me and going fishing at the cabin. Just when I had hope – I was crushed – I forever will be his friend, I loved him dearly, and am really going to miss him dearly – I was his bud and hope he is fishing with Dave right now. I hope they keep company and I hope to see Darc in my thoughts and dreams til my time has come also – your friend forever – and all of my love – Bob

  3. It was with shocking sadness that I received the news of Darcy’s passing. My condolences to his family and indeed to all of us who’s lives he has touched. Darcy and I have a friendship without limits of time and space, often not seeing each other for years but always picking up where we left off and as if no time had passed. No matter where we were at in our lives the roots always led back uninterrupted with a clear path to each others door. I will miss my life long friend and his view of the world, but I know we will pick up again as if no time has passed, like we always do.

  5. Paul Rawlinson :

It is with great sadness I learned of the passing of a close friend, all too early. I fondly remember the many hours we had in our younger years, just talking, listening, and spending time. Unfortunately now I will not get the chance to reconnect with you as I had hoped, but will have to wait until we meet again. You will always be walking with me. Till we meet again, happy trails to you. Darcy, you are forever my friend.
    Paul

  13. Barry Johnston :

I am shocked and saddened to just now hear the news of Darcy’s passing. I worked for Darcy at the Marlborough Keg as a line cook back in the early 90’s. We had many laughs and a few beers together. I looked up to Darcy and he gave me a lot of advice, including pushing me to go to school and get my journeyman red seal for cooking. Which I completed, and 20 years later, am still in the trade, having achieved a level of competency, which I give credit to the influential few that included Darcy.

My condolences to all of his family and friends .
    Barry Johnston.
