Cheryl McEwen (nee Hopps) of Calgary passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the age of 51 years.
Cheryl was born on June 1, 1956 in Calgary, AB. Having taken Journalism during her post secondary years, she was an exceptional data entry operator for financial institutions and an amateur historical author. One of Cheryl’s greatest achievements was the birth of her children and she strived to live life to its fullest. Cheryl lived in Los Angeles, CA, San Jose, CA, Campbell River, BC, and Victoria, BC and her best vacation included a trip with her daughter Arielle to California where they saw a UFO. Cheryl loved music, crosswords and bingo and had a weakness for cute, tanned, long-haired men.
Cheryl is survived by her daughter Arielle Simone McEwen; her son Christopher William McEwen; her parents, Simone Jensen and John Hopps; her brother Mike Hopps; and her best friend Carolyn Sochowski. She was predeceased by her brother Steve.
