MCCUTCHEON, Enid Maureen

September 5, 1935 – August 18, 2012

Oh how I wept so deeply for the loss of my dear wife of 47 years. She was such a kind and gentle person. Friendly, compassionate, good natured, generous and humorous, among her other fine qualities.
And yet Maureen suffered over 20 years with a debilitating lung disease that slowly reduced the oxygen supply to her lungs, and finally claimed her at home where she died peacefully while sleeping.

Maureen was loved by her many friends who all called her “Moe”. Being a happy and personable lady she will be missed by all those who knew her.

Maureen is survived by her ever loving husband Bill McCutcheon; son Philip (Debbie) McCutcheon, grandsons Jake and Derrick; daughter Erin (Leonard) Drolet, grandsons Daniel, David and Derin Drolet; and sister Roseanne (Bill) Sheptycki. She will be forever missed and remembered.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Burial to take place Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Queen’s Park Cemetery. Please forward condolences through

In living memory of Maureen McCutcheon, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. Telephone: (403) 256-9575.

  4. Sara Cumbers (Drinkall) :

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Aunty Moe. The only times I really got to share with her were at our family reunions, which were, as you know, big and fun! In times of loss I always like to hear uplifting quotes, as I hope you will in your time of loss…

‘I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.  They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.  Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.  We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love’ – Leo Buscaglia
