Bob beloved husband of the late Eve McCullough (nee Birban) of Calgary, AB, passed away on September 9, 2014 at the age of 94 years.
Bob was born on July 14, 1920 in Kingston, ON. He was raised in the country side in Ontario and graduated with his Grade 12 education. Bob enlisted in the RCAF in WWII and rose to rank of Captain-Pilot. Post WWII he stayed in aviation working in Oshawa, ON and moving to Calgary in 1958. He worked in Calgary for Field Aviation Ltd as General Manager starting in 1958 and ended his career as a Director and Vice President. Bob retired in the early 1980’s and spent many winter seasons in Mesa, Arizona and later in Victoria, BC. Summers were spent at the family property in Nelson, BC.
Bob was a very inquisitive man; he always wanted to know how things worked and made an effort to find out. Always ready with a joke, Bob was very social with an easy going manner. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his son Brian McCullough and Brian’s wife, Lani Donaldson of Calgary, AB; and his three granddaughters Kristin (James) Albritten, Allison (Justin Henderson) McCullough and Robin McCullough. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eve in 2013 and his brother Frank McCullough.
