July 29, 2014 – Calgary, AB
Phyllis beloved wife of the late John Robert McCulloch of Calgary, passed away peacefully at Garrison Green Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the age of 94 years.
Phyllis was born in Hamilton, but moved with her parents at an early age to Guelph, ON where she grew up and later met her husband Jack, who trained at #4 Wireless School RCAF. After the war they located in Portage la Prairie, MB where they resided for twenty-four years. Jack was transferred by VIA Rail to Brandon, MB, where he died in September of 1979. Phyllis remained in Brandon until 1996, at which time she moved to Calgary to be closer to her family.
Over the years she produced many articles from her sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and cross stitch, most of which went to family members. She was also a great reader and often said that no one could be lonely as long as they had a good book to keep them company.

Forest, ON; brothers Fred and Harry of Guelph, ON; sister-in-law Dorothy of Winnipeg; and seventeen nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband John; infant brother Douglas, sister Jean; father Albert Edward and mother Florence Mabel.
