Condolence Messages

  1. Dear Joyce and family,

We were so saddened to hear of your mom’s death. She was a special lady, adopted as a true ‘Auntie’ into our extended family. I shall always remember her kind and caring heart. Also, thanks to her efforts teaching us many years ago, I shall always know which fork to use when at a formal dinner setting :)!
    Please accept our sincere sympathies,
Karen Louie, Clarence Wong, Evan and Natalie

  3. Joyce & Family,

I was really saddened to hear about your Mom and her passing. I’m glad I got at least one visit before she passed. We played many great games of badminton together, also the jam sessions with apricot brandy are great memories for me. I’m really sorry for your loss!

  4. Douglas Wilson :

    Dear Joyce & family,

I was fortunate to become a friend of Marie many years ago when we used to play Badminton together in the Bowness Recreation center. She was a beacon of kindness and laughter; I have memories of many good times at her house. I know she will be missed by all of us that she touched with her presence.

  6. Catherine Squires (nee Bittman) :

    My Dear Joyce,

I’m so sorry for not being in touch. I had a root canal the day of your mum’s funeral; otherwise, I would’ve been there. I bought a card which I had hoped my dad would’ve given to you; unfortunately, he had a doctor’s appointment and wasn’t able to attend the funeral, either. (I didn’t see Laura or I would’ve given it to her.)

Your mum and I had some wonderful visits, which I will always cherish. (I’m sorry our visits didn’t coincide — I would’ve loved to have seen you.)
We discovered that we shared a particular fondness for owls, and I told her she’ll “owl” ways be in my thoughts and prayers.

Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, too.

    Take care.
    Catherine

    All Love Mom,
