Vivian June McAdam passed away grudgingly on Monday, November 24, 2008 in her 83rd year.
Vivian had the strongest will to live and defied the odds for many a year so that she could sing another song, have another dance, try another pull-ticket, eat more chicken and generally embrace another day. Vivian and her close friend of twenty-seven years, Sandra Sebree (“Auntie Sam”), shared a lot of stories and a lot of laughs.
Vivian has been surrounded by her “family at heart”: Sam, Fuzz, Angy, Mocha (her “woof woof”), her friends Kay and Patty and the many “Mommas” (female and male) who cared for her at Bowcrest. Thank you so much to those “Mommas” and to Dr. Todd for adding a few more good years to Vivian’s life.
We will all enjoy one last song, dance and a bit of rye in Vivian’s honour from 1:00 p.m. to whenever on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Bowness Legion where Vivian was always welcomed and treated like gold by the staff and patrons.
Donations of goods or cash to the Veterans Food Bank on Thursday would thrill Vivian to no end. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
