MAY, Mary Louise (nee Van Dongen)

April 25, 1952 – July 6, 2012

Louise May, beloved wife of Larry of Crossfield, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 60.

Louise took great joy from the small simple things in life; nothing was more precious to her then her friends and family. Her heart and caring nature was so giving, she always had time to listen and help anyone in need. In her eyes every single person was equally important as the next. She will always be remembered for amazing work ethic and positive outlook on life. Right to the end of her life she kept her great spirit and was more concerned about how others were doing then herself. Louise has a special place in everyone’s heart that she crossed paths with, and will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.

Louise is survived by her husband Larry May, son Sam May, daughter Cora Dumais (Matt) and granddaughter Mysie, her little princess. She is also survived by her brother Lambert Van Dongen (Andrea), sisters Jo Ann Dumont (Fred) and Sandy Van Dongen, brother-in-laws Allen May (Sandy), Terry May and her sister-in-laws Pat (Jerald) and Bonnie Sue Fernandes (Jeff), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Joe Van Dongen.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Airdrie Funeral Home (300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, Alberta) on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church (302-11th Avenue South, Carstairs, AB) on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Crossfield Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to St Joseph’s Carmelite Home, 4840 Graselli Ave., East Chicago, IN, 46312 www.carmelitehome.org

  7. Dear Louise May Family,

So sorry to hear about the passing of Louise. She was a great friend and help to my mom, Pearlie Murray Taks. She was always so caring and giving of her time to take my mom to her medical appts. She always put others ahead of herself and gave all she had right up until the end. An angel here on earth. She will be missed, but her spirit of caring and giving will live on in the memories of all who knew her.
